Reimagining Answers.com for the AI Era

Reimagining Answers.com for the AI Era

Answers.com was once a staple of the early internet—a hub for factual Q&A and encyclopedia-style information. But as search behavior evolved and generative AI emerged, the need for static answers gave way to a demand for nuanced, contextual, and community-driven insight.

Our team was given the rare opportunity to revive the Answers.com domain—a name with legacy value—and reimagine it for the modern age.

We set out to build a product that blends AI intelligence with human perspective: a conversational search experience where users can choose between objective synthesis and subjective consensus. With features like source-backed summaries, Reddit/Twitter sentiment aggregation, and an innovative Consensus Meter, we’re creating a platform that answers not just “what’s true,” but also “what do people think.”

This project challenged us to honor the domain’s past while designing for today’s information landscape.

Product Design

Product Design

As the sole product designer, I led the end-to-end design of the MVP—crafting the user experience, interaction flows, and visual system from scratch. I worked closely with the founding team to shape product strategy, explore feature direction, and translate our AI-driven vision into an intuitive, modern interface.
